Rock Steady Removals was established in 2016 after initially purchasing a van to convert into a campervan for adventures with the family. We named this van Bertha and, what started out as a solo venture alongside a full time job turned into providing a removal service to pay for the conversion.

Parallel to this and after nearly ten years in the insurance industry (massive yawn!) faced with redundancy and the birth of child number two we decided to make Rock Steady a reality.

It began with Bertha serving in and around the Bristol and Bath area. This expanded our reach to across the Southwest and after a few years, we were able to send Bertha for a long awaited retirement in order to bring two new members on board - Roxy McBoxface and Blue McSteele to offer nationwide services to our customers.

After establishing Rock Steady it became apparent over the years that moving home and furniture can sometimes create rubbish. Rather than you having to source a third party to fulfil this need, we created the Rock Steady Disposal service for convenience and peace of mind when it comes to discarding items.

A major factor in moving house is having the ability to disassemble and reassemble furniture in people’s homes. This can vary from beds & wardrobes to flatpack/garden furniture and we can appreciate to some this could be very stressful. We want to alleviate this stress and are happy to offer any furniture assembly services.

With this experience, it felt like a natural step to create Rock Steady Makes It. We offer this as part of our general house moves with Rock Steady but also as a stand alone service.
